How’s it Lookin’, Boss?
Exciting progress, extra Ko-fi content, and info about an upcoming FITV short in the report below!
Haven’t heard of Fray in the Veil? Well, lucky for you, I have a convenient link riiiight here! There you’ll find a breakdown of FITV, as well as an FAQ that may answer your burning questions.
Now, time to dive into the meat n’ potatoes of the report.
But First—
An Important Message From Betty and Luna!
Ahem—Now, Back to Our (Ir)Regularly Scheduled Program
So, Are You Done Inking Yet?
Well… Not quite—but! I am very close!
As of writing this, 24 out of 28 pages are fully inked out and ready for coloring! And, as long as everything goes to plan, inking for issue #1 is scheduled to be finished by the 13th (Ooh, spooky number).
As a little side tangent, I’d like to bring attention to the fact that, when starting this project, it used to take me ~4-6 hours to ink a page. Now, it takes me ~2-3 hours! *high-fives self*
What’s This “Koh-fee” Thing You’re Talking About?
Am I pronouncing it weird? Koh-fee? Kaw-fye?
Either way, what once served as a mere tipping jar has now evolved into a hub for bonus content! FITV behind the scenes, concept art, cut content, bonus drawings, oh my!
Now, it’s important to note that, as promised, Fray in the Veil will be released to read for free. Anything on the Ko-fi isn’t strictly necessary to understand nor enjoy the story. Instead, its for those who are interested to see “how the sausage is made” and to get some exclusive and/or early content (doodles, FITV scrapped/development material, etc.)
If you’d like to support an indie artist and the development of Fray in the Veil, then consider signing up for The Creative Band of Misfits Club membership!
Alright, Enough Shilling
Okay, okay—I’m done, promise!
Now, there is one more thing I want to talk about. While working on the main comic, I’ve also been working on a two page short comic. You can kinda think of it as a Fray in the Veil appetizer. Not necessary to enjoy the main story, but a little bit of something to pique your interest.
The FITV short will be released before the main comic, so can an eye out for it!
Fin…
Now, I believe that wraps everything up.
If you’re interested in following the development of FITV and haven’t already, I highly recommend you subscribe to this newsletter. This is the one-stop-shop for news, art, and other developments regarding the comic-to-be.
As an added bonus, I also post my other artworks here, which you can find in the art feed.
And, if you’re feeling particularly generous, you can leave a tip and/or sign up for a membership on my Ko-Fi. Never necessary, always appreciated.
Thanks for reading this far! Until next time.
Deuces.
